Is this you?

This service is for a corporation that did nothing at all during the tax year. Check the list below before you pay.

If all four are true, you are in the right place.

  • The corporation earned no income during the tax year.
  • It had no expenses.
  • It had no employees and ran no payroll.
  • It carried on no business activity of any kind during the year.

We check your bank statements before filing. If we find activity, we do not file a nil return — we send you a quote for the proper work instead, and refund you in full within 24 hours if you decline it.

See how it works

A short walkthrough of the portal, start to finish.

When is your T2 due?

Enter your fiscal year-end and we will show you the filing deadline. A T2 is due six months after the end of the tax year.

The last day of your corporation's tax year.

Balance owing

Paying is a separate deadline from filing. Any balance owing is due three months after year-end for most Canadian-controlled private corporations, and two months after year-end otherwise. A nil return has nothing owing.

If the deadline falls on a weekend or a public holiday, the CRA accepts a return received on the next business day.

Who files your return

Your return is prepared and reviewed by a licensed accounting practice in Mississauga, Ontario.

Common questions

What is a nil return?
A T2 corporate return for a year in which the corporation carried on no business — no sales, no purchases, no payroll. The corporation still has to file one. The CRA requires a return from every incorporated Canadian corporation every year, whether or not anything happened.
My corporation did nothing at all. Do I really have to file?
Yes. Filing is required because the corporation exists, not because it earned anything. A year with no activity is still a year the CRA expects a return for.
What does the $100 cover?
Preparing and filing one T2 nil return for one corporation for one tax year, including the accountant's review of what you send. HST is added at checkout. If your year turns out not to be nil, we will tell you what else is needed and quote it separately before doing any of it.
Who actually files it?
Y.E.S TAX & ACCOUNTING SERVICES INC. A person reviews everything you enter before anything is sent to the CRA. Nothing on this site files itself.
I have two corporations. Can I do both here?
Yes. One filing per corporation, each paid separately at $100. They all sit in the same account.
Is my information safe here?
Your data is held in Canada, and you can only ever see your own records. We ask for a Social Insurance Number only where the T2 itself requires it, and we never ask for your CRA login or your banking passwords.
